The 48-year-old was jailed for eight-&-a-half years after raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl.

The child rapist had to run for his life after furious parents found out he had been living next door.

Belfast-born David Holland was chased out of a flat in Glasgow’s East End on Thursday night & police are now understood to have told shocked families he will not be returning.

The 48-year-old was jailed for eight-&-a-half years in 2009 after raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Bangor, Co Down.

After getting early release he moved to Glasgow where he was thrown back in jail earlier this year after being found with an under-age girl in defiance of strict license rules.

Since his most recent release he had been living incognito at his girlfriend’s East End flat until shocked neighbors found out the pervert’s identity this week.

One furious dad said: “People were shocked & upset as you can imagine. You just can’t have someone like this living close to kids without other families being aware of the danger.

“His partner has a child & so other kids from the close had been in that flat with this guy.

“It sends a chill down your spine to think what could have happened.

“Word has got about on Thursday.

“A group of mums & dads have gathered outside the flat. They weren’t threatening him or anything, but they wanted him out. The guy has come out the door & I have ended up chasing him out of the close.

“He has taken to his heels & ran off out the back & he hasn’t been seen again since.

“The police came around a bit later & told us he wouldn’t be back. I have been told that he has a flat in Govan he should be staying at as part of his license.

“Nobody wants a creep like this anywhere near them & I feel sorry for whoever ends up with him next door wherever he is now.”

Holland first fled to Glasgow in 2006 after raping a girl of 14. His 2009 trial heard he plied her with cigarettes & booze before the attack.

He was caged for eight-&- a-half years but released early.

In June residents at a tower block in Milton, Glasgow, campaigned for him to be removed after he was caught in the company of a child, in breach of his license.

He has formerly been charged over firearm offences, & has changed his name from Adams in a bid to hide his past.

His father John Adams, 77, is a serial child abuser who is serving four life sentences in Dublin for grooming.

His brother Billy, 50, is also serving life for grooming & raping a girl of 11, weeks after being freed from jail for raping a child of 8.
