Women in same-s*x relationships who want pregnancy are being
pressured into having s*x with men. Men are offering their services as unauthorized sperm donors
for as little as £30 on secret Facebook groups.
A BBC documentary has discovered how men offer their semen on
secret Facebook groups, with the women every so often not even knowing their
name or other basic details.
Prospective donors offer themselves on social media – offering
to donate their sperm for the cost of petrol involved.
Lots of men say their motivation is to help women conceive
who cannot do so naturally. However BBC Three’s Desperately Seeking Semen has uncovered
how some men offer their semen via artificial insemination, only to then demand
unprotected, penetrative s*x when they arrive at the woman’s home.
According to 2 women featured, Chelsea
& Sarah , who are in a
relationship, heteros*xual men are targeting L*sbians looking to have children
in a bid to ‘turn’ them.
25-year-old Chelsea
says: “There’s a lot of people on sperm donation sites that’ll decide that
they’ll give someone the help with AI.
“AI is artificial insemination, where you do it through a
turkey basting mechanism.
“They’ll turn up & they’ll push for NI, which is a
natural insemination, so basic s*x.”
“There’s a lot of that, isn’t there. It’ just because ‘you
haven’t had it off a proper bloke’.
“And it’s like someone saying, ‘but this gherkin is longer
than the other one.’
“I’m still not gonna go for that gherkin, you know what I
mean?”
Some women are resorting to the unregulated donation market
due to the high costs of IVF.
It can cost women up to £5,000 to go through the process,
compared to just £30 a time from some unauthorized men.
