A fitness blogger has posted a composite photo of herself showing that what we see on our feeds is not as perfect as we think.
The student at SciencesPo
Paris & UC Berkeley
posted a side-by-side comparison shot to show fans what she really sees when
she looks at a photo of herself versus what the public sees.
The photo on the left hand side, what "we see",
has arrows pointing to Louise ’s body
saying: “Big smile, long legs, strong butt.”
While the other photo, what "she sees", points out
her seeming flaws including: “Big nose, back fat, cellulite.”
She captioned the photo: “As much as I preach self love &
truly made some progress accepting myself, there is something I really struggle
with: pictures.
“Whenever I see a picture of me, the first things which
catches my eyes are my flaws. I always see what is wrong.”
“We really need to learn not to be so harsh on ourselves. It
is not healthy,” Louise added.
The post has since been liked over 8,500 times & hasgarnered 240 comments with users saying the same thing.
One user, @_elena_victoria, said: “Love this post! I do the
same thing.
"I hate looking back at pictures & thinking ‘wow I
looked great’ & then remembering what I thought of the picture when I first
saw it.”
