An angry set of people have beaten to death a self-confessed 'witch', Liyatu Michael in Doka Village of Bauchi State.

Trouble started for the 2 women after they purportedly confessed to be among those practicing witchcraft that had "Caused" many untimely deaths & setbacks in the community.

The irate mob thereafter pounced on them in a bid to force them to confess more details of their alleged atrocities.

The Police in Bauchi said they have arrested 4 suspects in connection with the death of Ms. Michael, who is said to be aged 70.

The Police Public Relations officer of the Command, Kamal Mohammed told journalists that the suspects seized the deceased, Liyatu Michael, & another elderly woman whom they suspected of witchcraft in a house in the community "& started beating them."

"We have arrested four suspects in connection with the crime while some suspects are still at large."

"We are making effort to arrest them & bring them to justice. The four suspects would soon be charged to court for culpable homicide,"‎ he added.
