Tribute To Nollywood Action Star J.T. Tom West, 11 Years After

To start with you should know that J.T. Tom West was one of my favorite artist in Nollywood at the time.

11 years ago, Nollywood & Nigeria lost this creative entertainer called J.T. Tom West.

J.T was the handsome & talented actor who was popular for his role & consistency in the action genre in Nollywood. His career ambitions were tragically cut short when he died on Sept. 28, 2006, in a ghastly auto accident.

The ill-fated incident happened when the actor alongside 2 of his colleagues were returning from a location after shooting late into the night.

The movie which never saw the light of the day, was a partnership between Michael Ofuonye & Teddy Sir Moris.

Reacting to his death 11 years ago, Keppy Ekpeyong said: “Why J.T? Since the sad news got to me early this morning through a nurse friend of mine, I have not been myself. He was a very good actor & a complete gentleman.”

"He came, saw & affected lives through his numerous movies. He would be missed by all of us. Adieu my good pal," Oby Edozieh had said.

Born on July 9, 1965, J.T was popular for his role in action films, including the classic "State of Emergency," which starred him with Saint Obi, Bimbo Manuel, Ejike Asiegbu among others.
His rugged looks often led him to be cast as the tough guy, but he was likewise skillful in easygoing parts.

J.T's featured in other movies such as "The Captor," "The Price," "Last Weekend," "She Devil," "Gangster Paradise," among others.

May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
