A WOMAN has been put in jail for threatening to kill nurses
at a mental hospital.
The 29-year-old, of no fixed abode, is serving a 4 year
prison sentence after the incidents on June 9 at the secure hospital for women
with mental illness in Gatehouse Lane.
She at first denied charges of making repeated threats to
kill & destroy property.
The court heard nurses were in real fear they would be acted
upon.
She was handed a 2 year & 2 month sentence for the first
charge & a concurrent 8 week term for the second.
Magistrates ordered her to serve extra time because she
breached the terms of 2 suspended sentences by committing the crimes.
She was given a 2 month suspended sentence for assault by
beating in London in Nov. & another of 4 months for arson in Bronsfield
prison.
