Atletico Madrid have shown footage of their new stadium, the
Wanda Metropolitano as they get ready to face
Malaga in the first game at their new ground on Sept. 16.
Diego Simeone's side have so far played their domestic games
away from home this campaign - drawing 2-2 with Girona & defeating Las
Palmas 5-1 in the early stages of La Liga.
Atleti said goodbye to the Vicente Calderon Stadium last
campaign & will move to a stadium which was originally designated to be
used for Madrid's 2016 Summer Olympic bid, which lost out to Rio De Janeiro.
The oval-shaped Metropolitano boasts a capacity of 67,703 &
the Spanish club have released a time-lapse of the ground charting the
construction & resurfacing process before inaugurating the new stadium in
its completed state.
The club then later took to Twitter again to give an insight
into their stunning state of the art dressing rooms, which are furnished in
black leather & incredible outer lighting in a what is a futuristic look.
