Police have released a video on Wednesday of a man who broke
into a woman's apartment & raped her at gunpoint.
The suspect climbed up the fire escape of a building near
the corner of East Tremont Avenue & Thieriot Avenue in Van
Nest & climbed through the 28-year-old victim's bedroom window
around 12:30 a.m. September 10.
The attacker used a gun with a light attached to it to suppress
the woman & demanded cash.
After the woman handed over $400, she was held down &
raped by the man, who fled the scene following the sick action.
The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was
treated & released.
No arrests have been made & police are still on the lookout
for the suspect, who was last seen wearing a green T-shirt & faded blue
jeans.
