One of the former PSquare duo, Peter Okoye ,
has signed a distribution deal with Empire, an American record label, music
publisher & distribution company.
Migos, Kendrick
Lamar , Busta Rhymes, Tyga, &
Remy Ma are some of the American artistes who have been on the roster of
Empire.
Okoye, who only just parted ways with Psquare, made the announcement
on Thursday night in a post on Instagram.
“Thank you Lord. Just had a digital distribution deal with
@peterpsquare! Welcome to the #EMPIRE family,” Okoye wrote.
Empire also announced the new deal with Okoye on IG,
writing: “Welcome to the #EMPIRE family @peterpsquare! Thank you for
@kingkanjafor the introduction & partnership!”
Now known as ‘Mr P’, Okoye has been seriously promoting his
solo career since parting ways with his twin brother Paul
& manager/elder brother Jude in pungent
circumstances.
While Paul a moment
ago disclosed that he’s working on new songs, Peter
performed in Washington DC on Oct. 1.
This is not the first time Psquare will split up as a result
of personal issues. The group went separate ways last year but later came
together due to pleas from their fans & stakeholders in the music industry.
In the heat of their latest disagreement, Peter had accused Jude
of threatening to kill him, & had said he was done with the group for good.
