From the Daily Express reports, Jose
Mourinho is at present at odds with the Manchester
United board concerning the contractual situation of midfielder Marouane Fellaini .
While Marouane Fellaini is yet to sway a section of the United faithful in
spite of already being in his fifth season at Old Trafford, he definitely has
the full faith of manager Jose
Mourinho & as a result, the
Portuguese tactician is looking to tie down the midfielder to a fresh contract
at Old Trafford.
Fellaini is presently in the final year of his deal at United
& Mourinho has made it clear that he wants the Belgian international to
extend his stay at the club.
In recent times there were talks that Manchester were on the
threshold of sealing the deal for Fellaini but in an update from the Daily
Express, claims are being made that United hierarchy are wary of handing the
former-Everton man a money-spinning new deal.
It’s being claimed that Fellaini’s wage demands of around
£150,000-per-week is causing the club board concern & they are at present
hesitant to bow down to such requests from the player’s representatives.
At the same time, Mourinho wants to see the deal taking
place at all costs & this is believed to be creating friction between Mourinho
& the club’s chiefs.
